The first things I think of when I start to write about Paris are all of the stereotypes: the croissants are très bien, the fashion is impeccable, and nothing beats a baguette, a nice Comté, and a cheap bottle of local white wine under the Eiffel tower at sundown.

Paris is a big city. And, like most big cities, it has lots to offer. Art critics? History buffs? You could spend weeks exploring the seemingly endless variety of museums that Paris offers. Foodies? Eat a croissant and a macaron in a different cafe every day of the week. Fashionistas? There's no place better for high-end fashion. I like a little bit of everything, with plenty of extra time to wander, explore new neighborhoods, people watch, and eat baguettes and French cheese and drink French wine. No matter where you go, you can't go wrong. So, acknowledge that you won't see everything. And, that's OK. If you want to see everything, I suggest you move to Paris!
